The dig!doc doctoral consortium consists of coordinators and doctoral candidates from the University of Vienna, University College of Teacher Education Vienna, University College of Teacher Education Lower Austria and the University College of Teacher Education Vienna/Lower Austria. The consortium focuses on conditions for the success of (Basic) Digital Education.
In the six dissertations of this interdisciplinary project, aspects of the curricular framework, the current practice in schools and teacher education as well as habits and attitudes of those involved are investigated from different perspectives. Additionally, concepts for improvements in digital education are developed.
Our goal is to contribute to future digitalization processes and discourses as well as to the development of (integrated) digital education. We strive to support and involve teachers and students in developing their competences for the effective, self-directed and creative application of digital technologies.
