The B3 initiative’s Significant Learning Community seminar “Bildungsinnovation im Kontext der Digitalisierung” [“Educational Innovation in the Context of Digitalization”] officially started its second semester on 3rd March. The well-established team of course facilitator Renate Motschnig and Vera Schwarz, who supports her in organizational manners and the hybrid setup, return this semester. The same is true for participants from multiple consortia of the B3-initiative.

Following a reflection on their current progress and short discussion of expectations, suggestions and worries concerning the course, the participants were able to enjoy the nice weather during a walk-and-talk activity. During this activity, they engaged in Active Listening and planned the next steps for their projects, thereby setting a focus for the upcoming semester. Insights were then shared back at the faculty. Finally, projects and questions the participants wanted to discuss in the group such as discussing an innovative course concept including the requirements for the accompanying ePortfolio and collecting feedback on a Thinking Aloud-protocol to be used for gathering data while students perform research tasks – were collected and a plan for the next sessions was made.

Next up: The research and learning community will be actively researched.
