On December 17th, the doctoral candidates attended the Kick-Off Event for the supervision groups funded by the Innovationsstiftung für Bildung [“Innovation Foundation for Education”] as part of the Research Community module. These groups will support doctoral students of the B3 initiative and beyond in their dissertation projects starting January 2025. The initial meeting in December was organized by Maria Tulis-Oswald and Leoni Cramer at the Paris Lodron University in Salzburg.

Following a communal lunch and an introduction round, supervisor Johanna Nesemeyer gave the attendees an overview of the concept of supervision and sketched the planned support measure. Then, groups were formed and regular online follow-up meetings were organized.

A group of attendees met up with the organizers at a traditional “Christkindlmarkt” [“Christmas market”] in the inner city of Salzburg after the formal event. In addition to casual conversations, collaborative projects were planned there.
