Following two months of special events in the form of open workshops for all participants of eduNexus and the disseration planning at the communal cooking session at the University College of Teacher Education Vienna, Renate Motschnig’s trans!doc course “Bildungsinnovation im Kontext der Digitalisierung” [“Educational Innovation in the Context of Digitalization”] for B3-consortia members was again held in its regular seminar format at the University of Vienna. As is common for the strongly student-oriented course, one of the participants’ projects was presented and feedback for an upcoming public presentation was given.

In addition to the Art Education approaches brought in by Rolf Laven and Wolfgang Weinlich, Vera Schwarz enriches the course with her expertise in creative and academic writing. A freewriting exercise guided by her and a closing phase of Active Listening – which was introduced to the group by Renate Motschnig shortly after the course’s inception – allowed the participants to order their thoughts about their dissertation and plan the next steps at the end of the course unit.

The doctoral candidates further deepened their understanding of the writing process and approaches to it in a special PhD-Club meeting after the session in the course.
