On Thursday, November 07th 2024, Michael Jemetz was able to successfully complete the faculty-open presentation of his thesis project. Together with Patrizia Sailer and Franz Knipp, who are both also working on their dissertation at the University of Vienna’s Faculty of Computer Science, he organized the three presentations covering the following topics:

  • AI-Assisted Formative Assessment of Coding Tasks by Franz Knipp
  • An investigation of didactic methods and the use of a gamified learning platform by Patrizia Sailer
  • The potential and limitations of self-regulated learning for the development of digital competences in teacher training by Michael Jemetz

Having concluded their presentations and the following discussions successfully, the doctoral candidates received valuable feedback on their thesis topics from the acting head of study and the professors present as well as from their peers. This yielded new perspectives and ideas for further developing their projects.

Afterwards, the three doctoral candidates celebrated their successful presentations at dinner.
