On October 1, 2024, the first collegial exchange took place among several doctoral candidates, supervised by Fares Kayali and/or Renate Motschnig. Despite many differences in their research topics, all projects share a common focus on digitalization in education. The main focus of the meeting was how the PhD candidates are progressing toward key milestones, whether there have questions, and what the current status of each project is.

One of the most debated topics was the upcoming Faculty open Presentation (FöP), which will become relevant for all doctoral candidates in the consortium over the coming months. This meeting was particularly insightful for the attendees from the Dig!Doc team (Michael Jemetz, Petra Weixelbraun, and Selina Gartner), as it helped alleviate some of their concerns.

By the end of the exchange, one thing was clear: one meeting is not enough! The date for the next gathering is currently being negotiated and will likely take place in November. By then, some members of the consortium will have completed their FöP and bring new topics to the table.
