This year, EDU|days 2025 at the University for Continuing Education Krems in the beginning of April was once again a central meeting point for everyone involved in digital education and innovative teaching and learning formats. Coordinators and doctoral candidates from the dig!doc doctoral consortium were also represented as part of this lively community.

PhD student Martina Spitaler was part of the EDU|days 2025 organization team together with coordinator Gerhard Brandhofer. Martina also contributed her expertise in two workshops. With her contributions on competence-oriented and language-aware subject teaching, she was able to provide impulses for teachers, researchers and educational practitioners.

Our coordinator Sonja Gabriel and her colleague Michaela Liebhart-Gundacker also gave a presentation entitled “Von Chancen und Grenzen: Der Umgang mit generativer KI im Schulalltag” [“On chances and limitations: managing generative AI in everyday school life“].
PhD student Jasmin Wallner, together with her colleagues Barbara Römisch and Helmut Pecher, presented insights into her experiences from her dissertation. The title of the workshop was “Im Netz der Desinformation: Demokratie gestalten. Tools und Anwendungen zur demokratiefördernden Medienkompetenz” [“In the web of disinformation: Shaping democracy. Tools and applications for media skills that promote democracy“].

We were very pleased with the large number of participants in our contributions, the inspiring exchange and the many exciting discussions during the EDU|days.
