In November, the Significant Learning Community of the trans!doc program took part in an Austrian Student Union-funded workshop weekend organized by Vera Schwarz and Selina Gartner, which they combined with a self-organized writing retreat.

In addition to the exercises and inputs offered by writing coach Vera Schwarz, the participants spent the beautiful autumn days in secluded Kirnberg, Lower Austria, working on their dissertations. However, relaxation time was also scheduled: the doctoral students took advantage of the nice weather going for walks during lunch breaks and in the evenings, and Selina Gartner offered a yoga session concluding the last full day of the retreat.
All in all, the workshop weekend and writing retreat was not only a great experience, but also resulted in considerable progress in the respective projects. We would like to thank the Austrian Student Union for financing the workshops and Vera and Selina for organizing the entire event.
