On Monday, October 20, 2025, doctoral students and DSE-fellows Anne, Martina, and Jasmin attended the annual general meeting of the Doctoral School in Education (DSE) at the University of Vienna. A special location was chosen for this meeting: Sky Lounge at Oskar-Morgenstern-Platz 1!
The DSE Board and the spokespersons for the three clusters (Educational Epistemologies, Policies and Practices; Teaching, learning and Curriculum Studies; and Education, Professionalism and Human Development) reported on past developments, successes and challenges. Fellows presented highlights from events organized by the DSE since the last annual general meeting a year ago. In the second part, the focus shifted to the future, with discussions about the DSE’s upcoming plans, visions and initiatives. The entire DSE community, including fellows, postdocs, and supervisors, was invited to attend.
After the official program, a reception with food and drinks in a pleasant atmosphere high above the rooftops of Vienna provided an opportunity for informal exchange and networking.
